
ZoomProject Motor Racing/GT Revival/GTR RevivalAlle BilderStraight4 Studios hat am Montagabend, 4. Mai 2026 ein weiteres Update für Project Motor Racing bereitgestellt. Nach den vom Entwickler veröffentlichten Informationen, halten mit Version 2.0.0.3 eine Vielzahl von Verbesserungen, die sich auf die allgemeine Leistung, Stabilität und Benutzerfreundlichkeit konzentrieren Einzug.
Der Blick über die Änderungsnotizen zeigt, wie umfangreich die Aktualisierung ist. Darin enthalten sind auch verschiedene Neuerungen, darunter die Erweiterung des bestehenden Digidash-Tools durch eine neue Funktion für relative Zeiten, die den Spielern detailliertere Informationen zur Rennposition und zum Abstand zu den Gegnern liefert.
Multi-Draw Indirect (MDI) sorgt für Verbesserung der Grafikdarstellung
Eine weitere Neuerung stellt die Implementierung von Multi-Draw Indirect (MDI) in der Engine dar, womit bei der Darstellung großer, komplexer Szenen nach Entwicklerangaben ein bedeutender Fortschritt gelungen ist. Durch die Verlagerung der Generierung von Draw-Calls und der Sichtbarkeitsentscheidungen auf die GPU konnte der CPU-Overhead erheblich reduziert werden, sodass der Renderer nun effizienter an die Komplexität der Szene angepasst werden kann. Dadurch kann das Spiel weitaus mehr Objekte auf dem Bildschirm verarbeiten und gleichzeitig die Stabilität sowie die allgemeine CPU-Leistung verbessern.
Darüber hinaus wurden Culling, Batching und die Organisation der Render-Passes optimiert, um sicherzustellen, dass nur die für jeden Frame erforderlichen Rechenoperationen ausgeführt werden. Das Ergebnis ist eine gleichmäßigere Bildrate, eine bessere Ausnutzung moderner Hardware und eine solidere technische Grundlage für zukünftige Multi-View-Funktionen wie VR und die Unterstützung von drei Bildschirmen.
Anti-Cheat-Systems und Gasannahme-Modell
Das Anti-Cheat-System, das erstmals mit dem Major-Update 2.0 eingeführt wurde, hat sich bereits im Ranglisten-Online-Modus bewiesen. Mit dem nun vorliegenden Update 2.0.0.3 kommt das System auch in der "Factory Driver Challenge", "Endurance Hall" und im Lizenz-Test im Ranglisten-Online-Modus zum Einsatz, um faire und konsistente Ergebnisse in den Bestenlisten zu gewährleisten.
Aufbauend auf den Grundlagen, die mit Update 2.0 gelegt und später mit Update 2.0.0.2 erweitert wurden, profitieren zudem mehr Fahrzeuge vom aktualisierten Gasannahme-Modell.
