Straight4 Studios setzt die Verbesserung von Project Motor Racing konsequent fort und hat die neue Version 2.1 sowie für alle Spieler das kostenlose Aussie Rivals Pack veröffentlicht. Juli 2026 hat Straight4 Studios für Project Motor Racing das Update 2.1 und zusammen damit die kostenlose Erweiterung Aussie Rivals Pack bereitgestellt.

Mit der Aktualisierung setzt das britische Entwicklerstudio den Weg der konsequenten Verbesserung der Rennsimulation fort und macht in den Bereichen Physik, Online-Rennen, Immersion, Präsentation und Zweikämpfe auf der Strecke einen weiteren Schritt.

Project Motor Racing: Neue Major-Version 2.1 und kostenloses Aussie Rivals PackProject Motor Racing: Neue Major-Version 2.1 und kostenloses Aussie Rivals Pack  Zoom Neben den neuen kostenlosen Fahrzeugen erwartet die Spieler eine vollständige Überarbeitung der GT4- und GT3-Klassen, die Einführung von Join-in-Progress, Triple-Screen-Unterstützung in einer Alpha-Version, weitere Verbesserungen für PC-VR vor der für den Spätsommer geplanten Veröffentlichung, optimierte Kollisionen, die neue Funktion "Ranked Notification Join" sowie zahlreiche grafische Verbesserungen im gesamten Spiel.

Australische Markenrivalität im Tourenwagensport

Das kostenlose Aussie Rivals Pack enthält den Holden Commodore VF (2013) sowie einen vollständig überarbeiteten Ford Falcon FG (2013). Damit dürfen sich Spieler mit zwei legendären V8-Rennwagen freuen - geschaffen für kompromisslose Action auf und über den Curbs, brachialen Heckantrieb und packende Zweikämpfe auf der Strecke.

Überarbeitung von Fahrverhalten und Physik der GT4- und GT3-Klassen plus Komfortverbesserungen

Grundlage dafür sind neue Daten der Hersteller sowie eine komplett neu entwickelte Reifensimulation, die Fahrgefühl, Reifenverhalten und Authentizität der Fahrzeugklassen deutlich verbessert.

Aber auch Komfortverbesserungen wie Join-in-Progress, bei dem Spieler unterstützten Online-Sitzungen nun auch nach Rennstart beitreten können, und Ranked Notification Join, wodurch Spieler die sich für eine Ranglisten-Session registriert haben nicht länger im Registrierungsbildschirm warten müssen, sondern nach der Anmeldung andere Bereiche nutzen können und sobald die Session bereit ist eine Benachrichtigung erhalten über die sie direkt beitreten können, gehören zum Umfang des Updates.

Auch das Kollisionsverhalten und die Multiplayer-Stabilität wurden verbessert, um Zweikämpfe auf der Strecke noch konsistenter zu gestalten. Simracer mit Mehrmonitor-Setup können zudem als Alpha-Version die Triple-Screen-Unterstützung ausprobieren. Das vollständige Änderungsprotokoll zur Version 2.1 ist unterhalb des Videos zu finden und verschafft wie immer einen vollständigen Überblick über die einzelnen Änderungen am Spiel.

-Implementation of a ‘manual refresh’ functionality to manually refresh installed mods from the ModHub
-Fixed an issue with lap time related achievements / trophies that allowed penalties to be turned off

-Fixed an issue that was causing drops in frame rate when using spectator mode
-Fixed an issue causing visual stutters while watching a replay from the trackside cameras
-Fixed an issue that would cause the camera view to change simultaneously when also changing the car to follow
-Fixed an issue with the Ford GT40 MK IV having missing engine and exhaust sounds during replays

Career Mode
-Fixed issue with Career Mode garage slot being disabled when switching between saves
-Career Mode events that permit the AUS V8 class have been adjusted to allow for the use of the newly added Holden Commodore VF

ONLINE
-Implementation of Join-in-Progress feature, which allows players to join an already active Practice and Qualifying session in Custom Lobbies
-Implemented a notification system for Ranked Online that notifies registered players when a race is about to start
-Implemented the ability to toggle anti-cheat in custom lobbies
-Implemented the ability for the lobby host in a Custom Lobby to skip Practice sessions
-Fixed an issue that could cause players getting stuck in a loading screen after losing connection with the host
-Fixed an issue where the host of a Custom Lobby would change car / class restrictions but would not apply for the lobby

-Added “Dynamic Resolution” options to the GFX in the settings menu
-Fixed an issue with text not displaying correctly when prompted to delete a replay file

XBOX ONLY
-Fixed an issue that would prevent players from using installed mods from the ModHub when not connected to the internet

-Added option to disable audio for tabs and buttons when VR and Triple Screen modes are enabled
-Fixed an issue with re-positioned view while Alpha VR mode is enabled
-Fixed an issue causing a conflict with other options in the settings menu when Alpha VR mode is enabled
