ZoomProject CARSBilder vom 17.05.12Für das Londoner Entwicklerstudio Slightly Mad Studios scheint die Rechnung und das Risiko das man mit dem unabhängig von einem Publisher finanzierten Rennspiel Project CARS eingegangen ist aufzugehen. Wie man dieser Tage bekannt gab, wurden von der Simracing-Community für das erste über die World of Mass Development-Plattform finanzierte Projekt mittlerweile über 1 Million Euro aufgebracht, sodass man derzeit einen Betrag von 2,5 Millionen zur Verfügung hat.
WMD-Mitglieder der Kategorie Teammitglied+ dürfen wie am Ende jeder Woche außerdem wieder eine neue Pre-Alpha-Version testen. Die mit dem Build 216 und den Zwischenversionen verbundenen Verbesserungen können der Zusammenfassung am Artikelende entnommen werden. Außerdem wurde die Project CARS-Galerie mit neuen Screenshots aktualisiert und bietet somit auch allen Gamern die sich nicht finanziell beteiligen können oder wollen eine Möglichkeit den gegenwärtigen Stand in Form von Bildern zu begutachten.
