So enthält die nun aktuelle Version 1.4.5.0 einerseits den "Next Gen Car Test Drive Mode", mit dem der Next-Gen-Ford-Mustang mit der Nummer 78 vom Team Live Fast Motorsports gefahren werden kann und andererseits lässt sich nun in den Einstellungen für die Kamera der Effekt des Wackelns bei einem Zusammenstoß aktivieren oder deaktivieren.
"Unser Entwicklungsteam könnte nicht glücklicher darüber sein, die aktuelle Version von Ignition um die Next-Gen-Autos zu erweitern, insbesondere vor dem Start der NASCAR-Saison 2022", sagt George Holmquist, Vizepräsident für Publishing und Marketing bei Motorsport Games. "Wir haben die Aufregung unserer Spieler und NASCAR-Fans mit dieser mit Spannung erwarteten Spielergänzung geteilt und dafür gesorgt, dass das Next-Gen-Auto seinem realen Gegenstück so nahe wie möglich kommt. Nun können wir es kaum erwarten, dass sich jeder an das Fahren des neuesten Stock-Cars im Spiel gewöhnt, so wie es die Fahrer das ganze Jahr über tun werden."
Darüber hinaus offenbart das Änderungsprotokoll dutzende Fehlerbehebungen in zentral wichtigen Bereichen sowie weitere Optimierungen rund um die Einhaltung der NASCAR-Regeln. Wer NASCAR 21: Ignition bislang noch nicht kennt oder unsicher ist, ob sich das Spiel lohnt und eine Xbox-Konsole besitzt, kann sich vom 17. bis 20. Februar selbst ein Bild vom Gameplay machen. In dem benannten Zeitraum kann das Spiel kostenlos und unverbindlich ein paar Tage lang ausprobiert werden.
