Playground Games liefert zum Start in den Februar mit dem Series 4-Update eine massive Anzahl an Fehlerkorrekturen, erstmals auch chinesische Autos, den Horizon World Cup und mehr - plus erster Ausblick auf die Series 5-Neuerungen.

Denn mit dem diese Woche Dienstag veröffentlichten Series 4-Update liefert Playgrounds Games einige Gründe sich hinters Steuer zu setzen. Neben zahlreichen Fehlerkorrekturen, schließt die Aktualisierung auch Verbesserungen ein, wie die von den FH5-Spielern gewünschte Möglichkeit, EventLab Blueprints zu speichern und zu bearbeiten. Endlich lassen sich alle zuvor erstellten Ereignisse erneut aufrufen, um ihnen den letzten Schliff zu geben.

Neben den jetzt bereitgestellten Fehlerbehebungen, wird an weiteren Lösungen für gemeldete Probleme gearbeitet. Dazu gehört auch ein Fix, der rückwirkend alle unvollendeten Herausforderungen und die dazugehörigen Belohnungen aus früheren Playlists gewährt. Dadurch wird die Errungenschaft "Min, Meet Max" für diejenigen freigeschaltet, die alle anderen Events abgeschlossen haben.

"Du bist eingeladen, dein Lieblingsland zu repräsentieren, indem du jede Woche in Serie 4 in der Trial, den saisonalen Meisterschaften und den Playground Games Autos der verschiedenen Hersteller fährst. Wenn du diese Events jede Woche abschließt, erhältst du Punkte für das Heimatland des Autos, das du gefahren bist. Wir haben die Fahrzeugbeschränkungen für jedes Event so festgelegt, dass jedes Land fair vertreten ist", heißt es dazu.

Natürlich wäre es kein globaler Sportwettbewerb ohne eine Eröffnungs- und eine Abschlusszeremonie. Und die hat Playground Games als zwei unumgängliche Showcase Remixes-Events vorbereitet.

"Fahre gegen ein Team von Monstertrucks, während du den 2018er Can-Am Maverick X RS Turbo R im ersten Showcase Remix von Forza Horizon 5 fährst - eine Abwandlung von 'Buggy and the Beast', um den Horizon World Cup zu eröffnen. Haltet Ausschau nach dieser epischen Eröffnungszeremonie während der "Wet"-Saison im Sommer.

Den Abschluss der Feierlichkeiten in der 'heißen' Frühjahrssaison bildet ein Showcase Remix von 'On a Wing and a Prayer', in dem du gegen ein Motocross-Team im Frachtraum des Horizon-Frachtflugzeugs antrittst! Egal, welche Tricks sie im Ärmel haben, eines ist sicher: Du wirst am Steuer der mexikanischen 2017er VUHL 05RR sitzen und das unter einem wunderbaren Nachthimmel. Das solltest du nicht verpassen."

Erster Ausblick auf Neuerungen im Series 5-Update

Weitere Fahrzeuge lassen sich über die Festival Playlist freispielen und Car Pass-Besitzer dürfen sich am 3., 10., 17. und 24. Februar 2022 über ein neues Auto freuen.

Vor der Übersicht der Series 4- und Carpass-Fahrzeuge und ausführlichen Übersicht der Änderungen, gibt es an dieser Stelle noch einen kleinen Ausblick auf die Series 5 den sich Playground Games entlocken lassen hat. Für das Horizon-Festival ist der Bau eines Stunt-Parks im Gange, begleitet von neuen Autos, neuen PR-Stunts und Party-Dekorationen, die überall in Mexiko zu finden sein werden. Hört sich ganz danach an, dass es auch im März ähnlich viele Gründe geben wird Forza Horizon 5 wieder zu spielen wie in diesem Monat.

EventLab
-Previously created routes can now be edited
-Difficulty bonus payouts from EventLab now scales with the number of Drivatars in the event
-Players can now add and edit checkpoints when using Route Creator at a Street Race location
-Players can now search EventLab events by keyword
-Editing a text string in EventLab (such as notification text) will no longer delete what is already there

-The flask poster icon (indicating custom rules) will now appear correctly after publishing the event
-Fixed up some assets that were missing collision
-Tooltip added for the "Add Rule" pill

Festival Playlist
-Fixed an issue where Seasonal Championships wouldn't complete if the player changed difficulty settings on the Pre-Race menu
-Players can now match make into an Horizon Open event directly from the Horizon Open tile on the Festival Playlist
-Prevented progress on the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenge being reset after the user experiences a server error
-Fixed a bug that caused PR stunts to disappear after the weekly season change
-'Weekly Challenges Completed' stat was fixed to show the number of completed challenges, rather than chapters
-Seasonal Collectible challenge progress will now persist between boots of the game
-Treasure chests and seasonal collectibles are no longer counted towards the Bonus Board collection stats
-Players must now take part in a complete Horizon Arcade (complete 3 rounds or all 10 minutes) in order to complete the Festival Playlist challenge
-The Weekly Challenge will no longer show incorrect progress towards its chapters when driving a car that does not meet its requirements

-Head to Head challenges in Freeroam are now cancelled if the opposing player gets too far away before accepting the challenge

-Voice over that plays when finishing a Super7 event is no longer cancelled when returning to the Super7 screen
-Prevented users from being able to erroneously publish Super7 events with both props and traffic enabled
-Fixed a bug that caused controller rumble and haptics to be lost after exiting during Horizon Open signup
-Improved car shadowing when entering tunnels
-Fixed a bug where players sometimes couldn't make progress on V10 Horizon Story if they earned 3 stars in a previous chapter.

-The game will now show an explanation popup when trying to select exclusive emotes or clothing, rather than a marketplace error
-Players will no longer be announced as the winner after quitting and losing to the selected rival
-Notifications showing the CR earned in an event will now show after all events, when returning to Freeroam
-Fixed a bug that would remove car control from the player if they switched cars while changing the convertible roof state
-Fixed a bug when rewinding on the finish line in Rivals, causing an impossibly fast lap time
